180º STORIES
These are real life 180º stories. Read how one simple letter can heal, encourage, strengthen, honor and applaud. We hope these stories encourage you to say thanks, too.
Kelly, 21
Kelly wrote us and the following is shared from her letter:
"I wanted to say that writing these letters has truly opened my eyes to all of the people I am thankful for. I am blessed in so many ways, and a lot of that blessing comes from the people in my life. By writing these letters I found myself reminiscing and remembering stories that had long been forgotten. The warmth in my heart from these memories made me stop and realize that I needed to express my feelings for people that had been my parents and friends that had been such a positive influence in my life. It is my hope that when the letters are received those people can see how much they are appreciated and that they can get the same feeling I did when they express their gratitude."
MELISSA, 33
"Writing these letters made me so much more aware of how much I truly have to thank people for. I was envisioning thanking people for the big stuff--being a great friend, giving me a job when I needed it and more. Once I got into the actual writing, I found my list of "thank yous" could go on forever. That's a great feeling. I even let my friend know that she always has the best appetizers at her house--and I appreciate it. Her endless supply of fun food makes her home feel welcoming, relaxing and alive. Just like she is. Once I started writing I realized how blessed I am to have so many wonderful things, from the small to the big, in my life."
SUSAN, 39
"I wrote daddy to say thanks for loving my mama and working so hard to put us through school. I wrote a friend to tell him what he taught me by his example and another friend to applaud the great things about himself he wasn't sure of yet."
"I will write more letters because people need to hear the good things about themselves and I need to say thanks for sharing those good things with me, when I do that, somehow I end up better."
KELLY, 23
"The 180º Letters brought back pieces and people in my life that I thought were gone forever. They are a true testament in the power of expressing gratitude."
AMANDA, 60
"The 180º Letters provide a real tool for people like me who want to express their feelings and gratitude to someone but don't know how. I especially love the pass it on effect. A true blessing to sender and receiver!"
STUART, 61
"I received a 180º letter. It turned my life around. It set me on the path to discovering my self-worth. I have carried the letter around in my brief case from the day I got it. It's like getting a love letter to your soul."
MEGGIN
"What can I say?! I love The 180º Letters. I first heard about these after I "met" Susan by phone. Just from talking with her about gratitude and other such topics, she finally mentioned her letters. I immediately went to the website and ordered some. After receiving them and seeing how incredible they were, I ordered over 100 of The 180º Letters because I wanted to offer them to accompany a special tele-seminar I hosted (with Susan as the guest speaker) as well as to give them as gifts, which I have done. I've now been happily giving The 180º° Letters to people for the last few months—and it's one of the happiest gifts I have ever given because of the beauty of the gift, but also because of what's behind it and the changes I know will occur when people actually write the letters. Several of my friends and clients who have gotten these from me then ordered some to start giving to their friends and colleagues. It's that kind of product. I love it!!"
CAROLINE, 17
"Writing these letters really forced me to consider how three people have affected my life in amazing ways. Choosing who to write to was challenging and allowed me to prioritize my own values. The reward, however, comes in telling those who taught me those morals that I hold so dear. I can only hope that one day someone will cherish my guidance in such a great light."
